Q&A

Did lost civilizations really exist?

What is the wisdom of lost civilizations?

How to read the Fingerprints of Gods?

Q: Did lost civilizations really exist?
A: Lost civilizations can be classified into two categories. One includes already-known civilizations such as the ancients Maya, Egypt, Indus, and China. The existence of these civilizations has already been recognized and studied. However, all the details have not yet been brought to light, and there is still a great deal of uncertainty regarding a number of factors.

The other category includes unknown lost civilizations that are presumed to have existed before the occurrence of the already-known lost civilizations. The reason for this presumption is that by investigating those already-known civilizations, there would be a number of facts indicating that what was discovered by contemporary science had already been recognized at that time. For instance, it is said that the accurate calculation of longitude that is necessary for navigation was impossible before the eighteenth century. However, most of the maps from even older times show incredibly accurate longitudes as a matter of fact. Moreover, the Maya civilization possessed highly developed astronomy, and it was far beyond what was necessary for people's daily lives. Space science was extremely advanced in ancient Egypt, and their knowledge about the relationship between space and human being was far superior to that of contemporary science. For instance, people in the ancient Egypt used to choose the most appropriate period of time to conduct an operation based on the astronomical movement.

Q: What is the wisdom of the lost civilizations?
A: With the advance of the modern science, the vision of the universe and the philosophy of the ancient civilizations have been proved to be right. It seems that the modern civilization is on the way to rediscover the fact that ancient people always knew. Being brainwashed by textbooks, the man of today would laugh off these ancient ideas stated below as ridiculous. But is that really proper? I would like to probe into that point.

• The existence of the power of "Ki"
The existence of the power of "spirit" had been already recognized in ancient times, and it is now becoming a common knowledge not only in the East but also in the Western countries. Yet, a way to use and improve such power has still not been fully explained. But there is no doubt that a variety of abilities an individual has would bloom when the power of "Ki" increases.

• The secret of perennial youth and long life
There is a description in an ancient book that there was a human who lived to three hundred or even seven hundred. Also, an emperor in China sent out a mission in order to search for a method of perennial youth and long life. There really was a human who lived to three hundred or seven hundred in the lost civilizations, wasn't there? Isn't it proper to consider that the ancients were aware of that fact and trying to get back the lost knowledge? It is widely known that, by properly arranging its environment, one tomato branch is capable of bearing as many as thirty thousand tomatoes at one time. Does a human also have a potential to live to three hundred only by properly arranging the environment?

• Why do people worship the "lingam" (male organ)?
Lingam worship existed not only in the Jomon culture of Japan but also in the ancient civilization of India as well as in many other cultures. An ordinary person would think how whimsical the ancients were for worshipping lingam, of all things. Yet, it seems that there was a reason for such worship. I guess that an investigation into the secret is going to be greatly advanced in the future.

• Mystery of exquisite stone-walls
There are traditions of exquisite stone-walls everywhere in the world. The fact the megaliths are being used make them even more mysterious. The King's room in the Great Pyramid of Egypt consists of a hundred megaliths, and it is impossible to insert even a nail between those stones. The two hundred tons of megaliths forming a temple of Ollantaytambo in Peru are also being perfectly joined together. A stone-wall in Inca is not made of megaliths but very exquisitely built, and the internal structure is quite complicated. The same kind of stone-built structures exist also in Hawaii, Easter Island, Maya civilization, and around Tahiti. Wasn't there a period when a exquisite stone-building civilization has existed globally?

• Mystery of metempsychosis
I think that one of the issues, which the people of ancient times had believed and is becoming to be rediscovered recently, is "Rebirth of spirit." After passing fifty years of age, I feel odd that there is an unbalance between my declining body and vigorous "spirit." Just like the people in old times used to say "As the boy, so the man," although being over fifty, my "spirit" is not much different from that of my childhood. Even now, my mind is "still a kid" with a full of hopes, and I feel like I am in the middle of my youth. On the contrary, I am getting more and more grey hairs, I can not run as fast as before, my belly is getting bigger, and my body just keeps on declining... this really gives me a feeling of wrongness.

Is a spirit really going to be reborn? Are there such things as former and later incarnations? I guess everybody has a different opinion on this. What is certain is that even an ancient Egyptian, Jomon man, Chinese, Aryan who had become a foundation of the oldest document in India called "Veda," and Aymara of South America all believed firmly in "Rebirth of spirit." It is only in these two-thousand years that people have turned to feel contempt for the idea of "Rebirth of spirit." It seems that a life is not simple enough for us to definitely explain it as "There is nothing after death."

Q: How to read the Fingerprints of Gods?
A: Although there are many people who were deeply impressed by a best-selling book, Fingerprints of Gods, it has also been greatly criticized on the other hand. First of all, we should be aware that Fingerprints of Gods is a western-style book of "Debate." It is not an instruction book that kindly proves the existence of lost civilizations in ancient times. So, it is only the issue of "the common knowledge of the present day is nonsense" that has been mentioned and criticized. I think that, if reading it as one of the opinions, this book is extremely interesting as it also brings out some significant points as well.

I am not trying to support Mr. Graham Hancock just because he is a good friend of mine. It is not that I believe everything he has written to be right either. But I think his intention "Humanity had fallen into amnesia. There are a great number of mysteries about prehistory" is correct. Also, criticizing his book would not solve any mysteries that exist all over the world anyway. For instance, such issues as "Mystery of longitude" and "Mystery of the construction date of the Sphinx" are definitely going to be clear in the future. In my opinion, what is important now is to keep our minds open toward mysteries, and continue the pursuit as being humble with the modern knowledge.
