Contradictions
Many anthropologists tend to dismiss the characteristics of human beings as merely the result of adaptation to the environment. Such views, however, are filled with contradictions. A large nose with a projected three-dimensional face and short-and-fat brawny body structure are listed as the characteristics of the Neanderthals. But why are their nose big and faces three-dimensional?
Anthropologists claim that those are the result of adaptation to the cold weather of the Ice Age when the Neanderthals existed. Their large noses served to warm the inhaled air with body temperature before it was sent to the lungs. And the three-dimensional face was to add distance to the lungs. Short-and-fat structure was to minimize body surface in order to prevent heat from escaping from the body.
On the other hand, the characteristics of Asians (Mongoloids) that are often cited are their flat noses and a short-and-fat body structure. Their body shape is the result of minimizing body surface to adapt to cold weather, as was the case with the Neanderthals. But their flat noses and faces, although in contrast with the Neanderthals, are also thought to be the result of adapting to the cold weather by minimizing body surface in order to again retain body heat.
It is now strongly believed that Neanderthals had white skin, blond hair and blue eyes, just like the Scandinavians today. And such features are said to be the result of the short duration of sunshine and also of an adaptation to the cold climate. Then why did Aborigines have blond hair? The hours of sunlight in Australia is far from being short, and with the exception of the southern end of the continent, its weather can never be described as being cold.
The eyes of the Northern Asian people are narrow and such also are thought to be the result of adaptation to the cold weather. It was to protect their eyes from the glare of the snow. Then why are the eyes of the Polynesians not narrow? Sunlight reflected off the waters of the southern Pacific should be much stronger than snow glare.
Furthermore, when we talk of Scandinavians, we think of their shapely figure with long limbs and chiseled faces. If flat faces and short-and-fat structures are the result of adaptation to the cold weather, chiseled faces and long limbs can only be attributed to the tropical weather. In fact, anthropologists attribute the slimness of Negroes to adaptation to tropical climates. They claim Negroes' limbs lengthened to increase body surface area.
As I explained, the characteristics of each population are only studied by the researchers specialized in each race, and no relevance can be found among them.
There's something inherently unreasonable in dismissing the peculiarity of Aborigines as the result of adaptation to the severe environment.
Their peculiarities must have its origins lying deep inside their long history.
