After the breakfast, I went to visit Nino's office, which I have to do my research for my school. I think that I will cut my research story here because it's a quite long and serious. So let's skip to lunch time.
During lunch time, we left the office and went to get lunch around downtown. It was a tiny restaurant which served typical Georgian food such as Kinkari. Kinkari is a similar to steam dumpling〔ショウロンポウ〕.
To eat Kinkari, people use hand to eat them. When you have a first bite, soups inside Kinkari would spread inside your mouse, and you drink those soups. As well, don't forget to dip in with a plenty of black paper, which in another key to eat them.
We also opened beer for lunch. This beer is also great stuff. It contains almost 10% of alcohol, which contains alcohol almost twice of other beers. People who used to drink cheap American light beer can not drink this because it will hit you so quick; you are not going to be able to work for afternoon. However, Georgian people will drink this and chacha (Georgian Vodka), they are still able to work all afternoon.
Steinbeck's Russian Journal was explaining as Georigan men as great drinker and lover. I don't know that they are great lover or not but I can promise that they are great drinker.
Well, after we finished a huge lunch, I decided to walk around the city of Tbilisi. I had an impression of dark and sad image of city from my last trip. I remembered that nobody wear any colorful clothes. Every single person was wearing black or gray. I thought that I was in black and white world like an old school movie. Additionally according to Georgian culture, People supposed to wear a black to respect for a death of family members. . After the sad incident of civil war happened in Georgia during 1992 and 1993, many populations in Tbilisi were dead. A whole nation was under mourning, and crying for a decade.
However, I got a little bit different impression for this time. It was like early spring. I found a few flowers on the street; People began to dress more colorful. After the decade of the transition from communism to democracy, I felt like that Georgia is changing. I thought that people began to find hope in their lives and to look forward to see in the future not the past.
Maybe, it's only me who felt like this. However, if you find a few flowers in total darkness, you will find that as hope. Georgia began to bloom flowers in the country. It might take while but it will spread little by little.
