I would like to say sorry about my mistake in second column. I misspell mouth. When I talked about Kinkari, I said mouse instead of mouth. So here, I would like to apologize all of your guys.

Let's talk about Food and drink culture. I want to start from the western influence in Georgia; MacDonald. I wish that I took the picture of McDonald in Georgia but I did not. It looked so different from one in Japan. It looked like Georgian Orthodox church. If you think McDonald, we naturally think that it's a junk or cheap food. Well, I still believe that it's a junk food but it was not cheap for Georgians. There is a security next to the door and price is much higher than an average Georgian food. The way people think about McDonald was more like our 80's or before, which means that people think that it's trendy or cool to be part of western influence. From this consequence, most customers in McDonald are foreigners or rich Georgians.

You know what? I always upset to people who go to McDonald during travel. I think the food is the best part of travel. So from now on, please stop visiting McDonald during travel.(well, this is my personal opinion, so you can ignore me if you want) I know that it's easy and quick but you should spend time for eating their food if you are traveling. Then, you will learn something new from its food. You can get McDonald in your back home right?

Do you remember about Kinkari? I mentioned it in Second day of my trip. That's good an example to understand about Georgia. Kinkari is very similar to Chinese dumpling but eat just with black paper seems like more Russian. If it's just Chinese influence, they will eat with soy sauce like the way, which we eat "gyouza".

You might not hear about Georgian food but it's unbelievable. Even in Russia, they consider that Georgian food is the best in the Former Soviet Union. The reason, which Georgian food attracts people, is the rich climate producing rich tasty vegetable and fruits and multi cultural influence. Georgia was developed as the center of the Silk Road, which built Georgia as multi cultural pot. So the Georgian food is mixed with all thoughts of different cultures. Historically, Georgia was the part of Mongolian, Islamic, and Russian empire, which makes Georgian food to be the best inside the Former Soviet Union. I can mention all of Georgian food but I think that I should stop it because I will just keep going and going and going.... it's just too good.

Well, I already talk about food so I should introduce Georgian drinks. I believe that there are three main drinks, which we are unable to ignore in Georgia.

First of all, this is my personal preference but I would like to start from Wine (especially red wine). It is not just good wine but it's a hope for Georgian economy. I don't really know why Georgian wine is tasty. But I heard that even the bible mentions wine in Georgia. Some people said that Wine is originally from Georgia. As I mentioned before Georgian is a good drinker, so my best guess will be that' why Georgian produce good wines. Or I could describe how I tasted "When you open the cork, smell of wine spreads in the room. When the waiter poor wine into your glass, you become tipsy already because of the smell. When you have a first sip, you will taste a variety of smell from land. When you finished your bottle, you will forget your bad memory and ready to have another one.

Well, I am not poet, so this will be my best description of Georgian wine. If you have a chance, please drink it. Then you know what I am talking about.

The second is borjomi mineral water. I never have such a tasty water. I am honestly no used to such good water. I was confused how water could taste in your mouth. I could not take it in the beginning because it has complex tastes such as impossible for us to imagine. Do we realize how water actually taste like? Are we drinking mineral water? Well, answer will be no for most of people. Most of water, which we are drinking, is artificial chemical water. In Georgia, they are proud of this water like its soccer team. We should re-think about our everyday consumption goods. Water is always next to you like our rice. We have to be careful with what we are drinking, and we should drink good water without contamination and begin to be proud of our water like our rice. Don't you think, that sounds good?

The last is chacha. Personally, I do not have a good memory for this drink. In Georgian culture, dinner table will be a full of chacha. Chacha is basically Georgian vodka. I will tell my dinner with Nino's family. They invited me for a dinner as a guest for the country. There were full of Georgian food on the table. There were home made kachapuri, Georgian Salad, and beef stroganoff, and chacha. During dinner table, all of us are followed Toast Master. Almost every 5 minutes, toast master will call for a drink under giving thank you to something. For example, welcome the guest from the Far East. (Basically for me), then after 5 minutes (they will have another toast of chacha and said "thank you for women"), and then ....

It will keep going for a few hours. I thought that it will rude not to keep up with them to drink, so I was drinking the same amounts with them. Then, I guess that you can guess what I did next. I went to the ….and puke in the bathroom. The worst thing is that water stopped running. So my… was staying there for a day. I was really impressed with how much they can drink. And I stopped drinking for a few days.

Good people, food and drink. What else we need. Maybe they don't have place to shop like us. They might not have good transportation system. However, it does not mean that they are living like poor. It is in their minds. They live with pride and hospitality. They are rich people.
